Citizens’ Dialogue on Cultural Heritage in Region of Murcia (Spain)
The Region of Murcia is taking an active part in the process of reflecting on the future of the European Union. After organizing several Citizen ‘Dialogue on different themes so as Regional Policy or Climate and Energy, Erasmus and the 60th Anniversary of the Rome’s Treaties, we have to put the eye on the European Year of the Cultural Heritage.
The European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 is a good occasion to deepen and broaden the dialogue with the civil society organisations, the European citizens by providing information with a view to achieving a deeper understanding of the contribution of Europe’s cultural heritage to strengthening the shared European identity in all its diversity of cultures, languages and heritages
To this end next November we invite people from the Region of Murcia to discuss with the European, national and regional cultural policy experts about the social and economic importance of culture and cultural heritage and discuss how culture could be an strategic resource for the sustainable future of Europe, helping to respond to social, ecological and economic challenges at different levels – from local, national, regional to European and even global.
